Implementasi Peran Orang Tua dalam Mengatasi Nomophobia Anak Saat Belajar Daring di Desa Babelan Bekasi

The outbreak of Covid-19 in Indonesia influenced the education system. The Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) seeks to overcome this problem specifically in the teaching-learning process. One of the solutions is online learning. Although the implementation obtained several obstacles, this method was considered to minimalize the existing problems, so that the teaching-learning process was running well. Even though the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) provides free quotas for educators and students, another problem occurred. Most of the parents could not operate the gadgets optimally, while the children take the advantages to play games regularly. Children used gadgets over time and ignored the learning hours. The impact of the excessive use of gadgets has been widely studied and researched in many countries including Indonesia. The human behavior and carefulness were rapidly decreased, and it has an impact on healthiness which mentioned No Mobile Phone Phobia (Nomophobia). Based on several reasons, the communication faculties of Bayangkara University organized training and mentoring to the parents in Desa Babelan-Bekasi to anticipate the harm of their children addicted to gadgets with all their content. The objective of this community service was to provide training and mentoring to the parents to supervise and manage the time of use of gadgets in children in Desa Babelan Kota Kecamatan Babelan Bekasi Jawa Barat accordance with the hours of study.
